EKTTA

Uniting Odisha's Travel & Tourism Associates

Founded in 2008 with a humble beginning during a friendly game of gully cricket among a handful of travel professionals, EKTTA (Enterprising Knot of Travel & Tourism Associates) has evolved from a close-knit social circle into a dynamic and enterprising association representing the travel trade community of Odisha.

Over the years, EKTTA has grown into one of the largest unified platforms in the state’s travel and tourism sector, bringing together agencies, entrepreneurs and allied professionals under a common vision of collaboration and collective progress.

The association works towards creating a supportive and professional environment where members stay connected, informed, and united in addressing industry challenges while contributing to the overall growth of tourism.

Through workshops, industry interactions, and empowerment initiatives, EKTTA continuously strives to enhance the capabilities of its members and promote Odisha’s potential across outbound, domestic, and inbound markets.

Dhauligiri

This is where it all begun

EKTTA’s maiden gathering in 2008 was held at Dhauli Giri, a historic landmark on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, known as the site of the historic Kalinga War that transformed Emperor Ashoka from a conqueror into a messenger of peace. Beneath the iconic Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda), symbolising harmony and unity, travel professionals came together for a picnic and friendly cricket match, unknowingly marking the beginning of a collective journey. What started as informal fellowship at this hill of transformation gradually evolved into a structured and recognised association. Just as Dhauli represents reflection and renewal, it became the silent witness to the emergence of a unified travel trade fraternity in Odisha.
